You’re definitely not logged in, your username should be showing up in the top right corner.

Have you ticked the “remember me” box when you’ve logged on?

    All good for me.

Tried to replicate this numerous times to no avail.

DJ suggested it may be a problem with your cache which I agree with. If you're using a VPN it may be that, but definitely not a problem with the forums that i can find.

Will be interesting to see if others get/have the same problem.

Just as a last resort possibility... if you use Google, or Norton or some other platform to save your logins it may have something to do with that. Sometimes they can be a problem. If you don't log out your cache should automatically log you in or at least fill the login for you. When you click on Username then tab it will fill in the PW. If this isn't working you may need to clear the cache and manually log in.

DJ may have another idea or 2 but other than the above I'm flummoxed.

    Hello China

Are you still having this problem?

If not what did you do to fix it, if you know what it was you did, or did it just fix itself.

As I (Bigyin) said yesterday I tried lots of different things to get the same result but the only thing that worked or didn't was not logging in and then the problem was with ads and not the same as you were getting.

Haven't head from anyone else with the same or similar problem so my best bet is it wes something to do with your login or s glitch somewhere on your computer, with cache or something else.

Hope all is working properly again for you.

    Cheers - Neil

PS speaking of computer glitch. My grandson was around last weekend and looking up stuff on my computer which has a new mechanical keyboard. Monday morning I was having a problem with a couple of key strokes not working and couldn't figure out why. I hit M and N came out hit N and M came up. My fingers were going to the right place but the wrong keys.

Then the penny dropped... The little monkey had pulled the M and N keys off the board and swapped them over.
Sent him a text message saying good trick with M n N and he sent back. "Hahahaha". with tearful laughing face and a thumbs up. Gotta love a 14 year old Grandson.

    Hi BigYin ?

This morning I as normal typed my name and password, but instead of hitting the enter key I clicked on "Login" The screen went back to the normal one but I wasn't logged in ! No wrong user name or password screen. Using the enter key logged me in as normal.

FWIW, there was a big system update for me yesterday, including both web browsers that I use, so that might have something to do with it. If anything changes I'll post a note.

Hmmm, interesting. Have tried an can't replicate that one either.

If you had your cache cleaned out due to update that may have dropped your password. entering it manually may have fixed the problem. We sometimes get a bit complacent, I know I do and if the username is in the login box and you tap the Tab key it should put the PW in the other box for you. I can often login username only, without the ***PW showing just by hitting Log In button and sometimes not.

Poor old forums are over 25 years old and was end of life Dec 2017 hasn't been supported By vBulletin since then. Looking at switching the 3 forums to XenForo if it's affordable, feasible and we won't lose any of what we have now.

    Cheers

    Hi BigYin, I Like that,

Just gone through the login process, No problem !
I don't use the "Remember" functions at all preferring to use other methods.

Whilst I'm here, how do I access and delete some pictures that I've posted in the past and are a bit personal. Not that I want to remove anything useful.

    Thanks:

You would need to report each post and what picture(s) you need deleted and DJ or I will see what needs to be done and do it for you.

If it's more than just a couple please let me know via PM and I will sort you out with something else that won't mean DJ or I having to do it as it can sometimes be a bit time consuming and confusing dealing with other peoples photos, etc.

    Cheers - Neil
