...the world has tilted on its axis. Our ABC actually has some factual reporting for a change...

“...on ABC News tonight is an ABC journalist saying for the first time that it is “current fire management practices” that are the problem...”.

Skeptics win on fires: ABC quietly flips ? suddenly it?s fire management not climate change to blame « JoNova

    John

Hopefully pic is attached. This was taken outside my place at midday. Vision is about 400 meters. A mate said it was down to about 200 at Brookvale this morning.

Thankyou for this very interesting reading !
It reminds me of the quote "Don't let the truth get in the way of the news !" This goes for our politicians as well !

Binna Burra resort burns in September 2019. Via our ABC...

“...We've never had these sort of conditions at this time of year, and we have to be able to build infrastructure that can adapt to those changing conditions of climate.....”

    https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-09-...rland/11489860

Meanwhile, a few miles away back in August 1946...

“...Heavy damage has been caused by big bush fires which have been raging since 6pm yesterday in the Numinbah Valley and the surrounding hills. The fire started, it is believed, on the Palen Creek Prison Farm, and quickly spread to adjoining country. Farmers and their families, sawmill hands and others, fought the fire all night and this morning many of them were exhausted. In some cases farmers have lost all their grass and many miles of fencing. Much valuable timber also has been lost. No loss of life has been reported, but several fire fighters have bad narrow escapes. The fire, which is still burning, will be a serious blow to farmers, who are already suffering from the effects of drought...”

    Or in December 1977...

“...Heavy rain was falling on the Binnaburra National Park in south-east Queensland last night bringing hopes that a huge bushfire would be brought under control. The fire began last Thursday from a lightning strike in the tinder dry bushland and has raged through sections of the Lamington Plateau destroying at least two square kilo metres of unique native flora in an area known as Dave's Creek... ..."The fire has been sweeping along the edge of a ridge known as Shipstern Range and has been almost impossible to contain"...”
