    Default Myford lathe compound slide rework

    For those with a Myford lathe,

    Not a good idea without measuring the distribution of wear first, and correcting the geometry. He isn't regrinding but coarse lapping. All that will do is generate a new 'average' geometry which is unlikely to be either level nor axially correct.....
    Scraping is by far the better option.
