My retracting reel is mounted on the shed frame just inside the door out to the extension section. I made up another pivoting section so it has two pivots about 150mm apart. This enables it to pivot around so it is facing out the door and I can use the hose out in the extension or out the other door to the outside where I have room for a vehicle or just use it in the main shed.

OK, I'm sold on the retracting hose reel set up. I will shop around.
