    Myford backgear rumble

    Friends,
    My ML7R has a grumbling, rumbling noise only in backgear.
    It does not seem to make any difference to cut quality, winding of springs etc, and does not seem to be aparrent in normal speed...

    For years now I have owned a Myford ML7R (Long bed) with Imperial leadscrew. It is still very accurate, and the change from Imp to Metric is a simple substitution of change gears, 1 Minute or so....
