I purchased a new, extra long series. "split point" drill bit, slowed the lathe down further and increase the peck rate, drilled a near perfectly straight hole 265mm long.

The CQ6230a cross slide dial is in graduations of .04mm, secondary graduation, the main graduations, "0" to "1" works out to 0.80mm???

Hello all
Any help that will make drilling deep holes in Acetal easier. Drill sizes 5 and 7mm diam and 300mm long.
Should I use coolant or not?
