I have a drilmore drill press from the 1980 ‘s which has a worn chuck. If you rotate a drill bit in the chuck say 445 deg each time you do that and nib up... -

I do very little welding and this is a big unit and it is not worth the cost of the argon bottle just to have it sitting...
