G'day from Melbourne
Hi all, thought it was time to stop lurking.
I've been on the ubeaut woodwork forum for many years with occasional forays over here. Got taught a little bit of oxy, stick & tig when I did my first apprenticeship 30-odd years ago and have dabbled infrequently over the years making very basic stuff - mainly as an adjunct to the woodworking, plus a little building work when I was chippying a few years ago. I'm dual trade, qualified as an electronic instrument maker, and as a carpenter/joiner when I had a break from the rat race for a few years:). So the art and the science of metalwork strikes a bit of a chord with me.
Some recent work stick welding a chin-up bar has reignited the passion, and I can see a lot of upside making different things for both work and play.
I'm doing my research on a multi-process welder and will put up a post in Welding soon. Looks like there's some pretty knowledgable people on here and I'm excited to build my skills.
Cheers, Justin.
