    Default 1906 Hendey at work

    Hello,
A few pics of a some repair parts being machined on a 1906 Hendey Lathe. The thread is an Acme 3"-4 TPI with two split locking nuts. The old girl done good. The prints were the badly worn and broken parts. The delivery date was ASAP and the job was very satisfying to do. Repair was for some sort of press and parts as well as profit were made. bob

Nice. Now, let's ask ourselves, how many items manufactured in 2023 will be in use in 2140 .... maybe not many. But, likely the Hendy still will be.
