    Default T&C Grinder

I am currently looking for a T&C grinder e.g Cincinnati No.2, I have put on to A Hercus No.1 for 3 times what I consider it is worth, can those who have one point out the pros and cons.

Thanks for the post. I have a TOS tool cutter grinder that I purchased sight unseen and have not used due to floor space> I was thinking of getting a small Hercus T&C grinder or build some more floor space. I will be watching with interest.

They are about ⅓ the weight of a Cincinnati No.2 and take up much less floorspace. What accessories does it come with?

So it was not sold that is interesting, clearly I am not the only one who thinks the price is too high.

They had a Cincinatti #2 for $3200 for ages that was just as well equipped. They have added a Hercus premium.

Make a low ball offer. It has to be worth $2k

Good suggestion unfortunately they would not go lower than $3400 + GST, I just don't believe it is worth that sort of money, maybe I am out of touch

China, I don't think you are out of touch. As I see it the only people that are going to be buying this are hobbyists. No modern business will need this. Therefore it is only people with the space to put it, the skill to use it, the need for it and the money to spend on it.

My take is at the moment or at least over the last couple of years there have been a lot of people at home with time on there hands, disposable income because overseas travel is out and buying a new car when they are hard to get and they are working from home does not seem like a good idea. Therefore they have been buying stuff that they will use in their new hobby.

My prediction is that a time will come when travel is back on and they realise they have neither the time or inclination to learn how a T&C works so they will try and sell it. The market may be a different place.
