I picked up the loctite from an after hours Aust Post collection centre. I had been there for some 7 months and this time I noticed a heap of notices about COVID, and "abuse would not be tolerated" etc. Speaking to the person on the front counter about this she said they are copping the frustration of the customers for lateness of delivery. What's wrong with these people? It's like blaming the check out operators for a lack of toilet paper.

I ordered 2 cutoff tools April 25, they arrived in the USA July 12, still setting in the warehouse as of today.

I find it DOES NOT HELP to remember "these people get to vote"

I've had tracking logged with aus post and not move for 5 weeks(I assume the tracking doesn't start until the package arrives in Aus as it was some time after the items were posted)
Another package went from Melb to Eastern Creek before returning. Might be the only way out of the state

    Default Loctite

    DaveJ.
Part of the setting process for Loctite is exclusion of the air and the other is by contact with the metals in the joint. Loctite bottles are made of permeable plastic which allows air to reach the loctite. That is why the bottles feel sticky on the outside. Clean blocked nozzles with a toothpick etc. not drills or a scriber!

My Outboard motor lifting tool arrived from China on the 28th July. The delivery time was actually good, only about 5 weeks and the item is well made.

Shows SWMBO Daves post. See he is worse than I am, I only have 18 things

Some things making it in 4 weeks, others not here after 8 weeks. Just a lucky dip as far as I can tell.

I bought an item from aliexpress and the aholes sent the wrong item. When i messaged them they said they were out of stock so they sent the wrong thing. Totally not usable so i complained to aliexpress and even though they saw thew vendors admission they judged me to have no grounds for a claim. $150 wasted. Never bough through aliexpress again.

Wow that's a lot to loose, I would have gone to my bank and documents and had the transaction reversed.

I don't bother with Aliexpress anymore as delivery times are just too long.
I buy the same sort of things.
I do my best to plan my projects well ahead of time. The postie comes and it all goes in one spot for each project.
If I forget something and need it quickly, I buy the same thing at inflated prices from eBay Australia, and sometimes that takes 10 days.

You can say that again. I'm dealing with one aliexpress seller ATM, I ordered 5m of gecko tape from them, they shipped(with tracking) but a week later contacted me to say they were sorry but they only shipped 2m and offered a small credit, after a few messages they agreed to send another 5m free of charge(also tracked) and seemed very happy that I left 5 stars.
Not had a "bad" aliexpress seller, had a few ebay ones over the years, shill bidding with second chance offers(USA seller), shutting up shop after shipping items that don't work(AU seller). Biggest rip off was an aussie seller that got $450 for a badly broken scope left at my door uncovered in the rain at about 2am, ebay/paypal were no help. Still on the whole I am so fair in front it doesn't matter.

On a side note REPCO charges different amounts for items depending on which store you have selected....even online! Over 10% on the item I just checked. So if you are shopping online you might want to try selecting a different store. Just more Aussie service I guess

Thanks for the tip, I have supercheap, autopro and repco all within a 5- 8 minute walk from my place, with Maccas in between and KFC 2 minutes the other side. Not a great thing, lol.

Any recent experience of delays, getting junk from China?

With the recent halving of expat intake and loss of airline capacity flying to the east coast, wondering if transit time has blown out even more.
