Went to a swap meet today, a mate called me out of the blue, I didn't even know it was on.
Picked up a nice new tapered slip stone, exactly what I had been looking for as I have been scraping in my straight edges and I needed a tapered stone for the dovetails on my lathe cross slide.
A couple of new Aus made parallels and ??????????? nearly going home but up in a back corner.
A brand new Waldown grinder, been looking for one for ages, some on grays have gone for ridicululous prices, same as Phil has. Ex army still in the box has everything, even a diamond wheel dresser, yes I am happy.

Not really a tool gloat, but this is something I've waited 30 years for..

Now I can get the cylindrical grinder sorted and get serious about the CNC mill conversion.

3Ph just switched on today.
Thanks for the tip about power boards. I'll give it a try.

A bit of advice for power outlets in any workshop:
Either point them downwards (ie upside down) or put dummy plugs in them or otherwise shield them.
Quite a few fires have been started by rubbish getting inside the plastic case.
From the photo, it looks as though the 3-phase outlets have clear covers?
Cheers
Roger

Before I had good dust extraction, one of my shed GPOs was mounted on an old plastic mounting box which had an unused opening on the side and occasionally receive a squirt of sawdust from my table saw. That GPO was under a window and some ants also decided to make it their home. One day during a storm the rain came in under a window and flooded the GPO, the wet ant poo must have short circuited the internals enough to start the sawdust smouldering. Luckily the breaker tripped and as the shed was at that time connected to one of the house circuits and I was using a PC on that same circuit at the time I noticed the power failure and started to investigate. I quickly tracked the problem to the shed and found said GPO smoking and about to burst into flames.

Picked this up from a friend's garage clean out.
It's a John Heine 42J Burring Machine.

No dies unfortunately, If I can't track any down I might just turn up new shafts to use more readily available ones.
I'd make my own but I suck at internal (or any other ) threading on the lathe.
