Churchill Cylindrical Grinder. Free to good home.
Churchill Cylindrical Grinder. Location Thomastown.
20" wheel, approximately 2 foot between centres.
Its not mine, a customer just wants it gone. Probably weighs 3 tonnes. Its yours for free if you can handle the transport. It would be a good crane truck job. It has cast in lugs for lifting.

3 phase power, was in usable condition until it was relocated several months ago.
It will go to scrap other wise in a few weeks.
Regards Phil.

That would sure be a fun toy to have and I might have a crack Phil, I will see if can work something out anyway.
Problem #1 is bend in the driveway, crane truck has to have less than a 20 foot tray to make the bend.
Problem #2 is if it could be craned into the front of my shed then my dilapidated old fork is only a 2 tonner.
hmmm.....spoze it would lift one end at a time.....
hmmm.....

I have solutions to problems. Its what I do. I have any amount of machines skates and or jacks through to about 30 tonnes.
My policy, is if it starts I can drive it. Its the farmers son in me. So you have a fork. If you can get it lobbed on concrete any where near your shed, happy to come out and push it into position. Its only Healesville. Its a Forum thing, set you back a bottle of Scotch.
Regards Phil.

Thanks for the offer of help Phil and DSEL74.
So far my thoughts are if I can't get a small enough crane truck to do the job then i could get it craned into my
driveway and put it on blocks, I know a bloke who has crane trucks and i am pretty sure that he also has a franna
that would get it around the corner down the driveway and poke it in the doorway of the shed.
Phil could you please pm me the pick up details names ph numbers and whatever else i might need to know and i
will get onto organizing what i can on monday morning.
cheers, john

John, it's great to see another older machine not going to the scrappy or India!!!

I just got off the phone with Steve of Thomastown. I hear your Fork / Crane truck guy, is a top operator. You might forward me his details when you have a chance. And I'll be expecting pictures on Saturday.
Glad it worked out for you. Steve was happy it found a good home. Mike the guy that had owned it prior to its relocation, has offered to drop into your place and run you through it. That machine used to be right next door to my factory. Mike got sick of the city factory rent, and is working out of a home shed up Kangaroo Ground / Kinglake way. He didn't take that machine, so it got dropped off at Steve's.
It was on Ebay a couple of times, and couldn't get a bid at $500.
Regards Phil.

I think the stars and the moon were all aligned for this pick up, at first i thought i wasn't going to be able
to coordinate all to be able to be in the same place at the same time, both Steve and Bill the transport guy are
good blokes and made it work.
I reckon Mike must be a good bloke also, i sure would appreciate him fronting up here to show me how to use the machine and also to show me what i need to do to maintain it, info for this machine is likely in short supply.
If you are around next week i'll pop in to see you Phil, thanks again Phil.
I might have to have a look around for an internal grinder now ??

Not today, delivery has been postponed until next Saturday....sighhhh....
Anyway seeing that my shed looks like the Nagasaki aftermath now i spoze i had better get stuck into filling the trailer with more crapolla and build more shelves.
Practically everything in the shed had to be moved, or maybe should i say i have been playing machine Tetris with the floor crane and forklift.
I have got enough to keep me going burning off tree branches and cleaning up and oganizing for at least a week, so i spoze the good side to this is that next weekend i should be better prepared and be able to post action shots with sparks.......
