It could well be in mint condition. At $750, I think you would want to hear it run. Those normally have an air mist lubrication unit that goes with them. Its not with it. And they rely on have super clean oil of the correct (light) viscosity, over its life. Wet air doesn't do them alot of good either. "Suspect" was probably a poor choice of word on my account. Its something that should be inspected.

What ever happened to honesty with ebay sellers?

Bought a large end mill on ebay... I never really expected to get it, advertised as carbide, 1 3/4" OD cutting length 4" or something like that...

$30, I was the only bidder....

Got a message the Wednesday after the sale ended (ended on a sunday or monday), the seller said he had posted but forgot to put the postcode on and it got returned to him, but he had reposted it today......

Ten days later it turned up.... It only had to go 600km to get to me...

It is not carbide but HSS, although I pretty much guessed it was not carbide before I bid... It was still in pretty good order though, just needs a lick of the cutting edges, but he never re-posted it on the Wednesday, he posted it on the following Tuesday...

If someone can not get to the postoffice for x reason, so long as I know I am not going to worry, but to say it is posted when it isn't, is just annoying...

The drill press looking thing traverses the table rather than the table moving.
Handy tool if you're into DIY head reco's.

and wondered is that useful or cheap ? Its approx $2/kg

The problem is that those weights are usually cast with whatever junk is lying around and are of questionable quality and uniformity.
You might have to machine a few to get one good plate out of them.

Is anyone else really interested in one of these? I have asked for a postage price, but if they can go surface it may be cheaper for several.

To many backyard experts on ebay selling equipment that they have no idea about. No good complaining to ebay, they couldn't care less about it, they still get their fee's.
