Tool and cutter grinder plans.
HI Everyone, I have found a Website with Plans for a Tool and Cutter Grinder for free that I want to share with You all. I recently received a CD on Tool & Cutter Grinders. The CD, I bought on Ebay of Seller 'Marypoppinsbag' which is also www.metoolsonline.com based in the UK. The CD has got numerous Tool and Cutter Grinder Manuals and info as well as a set of Original Plans for a 'Bonelle Tool and Cutter Grinder'. The CD only cost with Postage 9.50 British Pounds well worth it.
Anyway the other Night I was looking on the Internet to try and find out what size Motor it needs. When I stumbled upon a Website with a Revised set of Plans in PDF form for the 'Bonell Tool and Cutter Grinder'. The Plans are free to Download. Whilst searching the Internet for Info on the 'Bonnell' one or two sites were saying it is better than the 'Quorn'
The Website Link is http://homepage.ntlworld.com/j.b.d.w...20drawings.pdf Gee is that a long Website link.
I for one do intend to have a go at Making the 'Bonelle'. If anyone knows what Electric Motor it needs Please let Me know. I did find one site which seem to be saying 1/10 H.P. , but it sounds far to small. Well enjoy Everyone I hope the Links wo
I have just tried the Links Myself for some reason they are not working when You click on them on 'Woodworkforums' . They are actually working though so I will just type them in so you can write them down. They are www.metoolsonline.com and now the long one http://homepage.ntlworld.com/j.b.d.w...20drawings.pdf If You change 'drawings' to 'pictures' in the Link you will go to a Website with Pictures of the 'Bonell'. I may have fixed the Weblink problem anyway I had been spelling 'Bonelle' with two 'n's. The PDF is less than 1 MB. If anyone has any Trouble I can Email it to them.

The link in the above post does not work as the forum software does not like it and removes some of the address

Bonelle Tool and Cutter Grinder.
HI .RC, Thankyou very much for that. Now everyone can check out the Plans. I even tried writing the links in and not actually putting them in as a Weblink, but they still did'nt work. You are right though it does take some of the Address out. Perhaps someone knows another way of putting them in ?. I had not actually come across Your Weblink before. I will have a better look after Dinner. Have You actually Built the 'Bonell' Yourself ?.
Thanks again Stewart steran50

What does one do with it
HI Matty5700, With the right attatchments (Attatchments might be standard - I don't know Yet) One can do a lot with this Machine. You can use the Machine to Sharpen Reamers, Dovetail Cutters, Lathe Tools, Slitting saws, End Mills, Slot Drills etc.

Hi Steran
Presumably you would use the same sized motor as on the quorn. You can buy motors and almost anything else you'd want for building a quorn here

What do you see as the advantage of the Bonell over the quorn? I wasn't aware of the Bonell, thanks for sharing.

Apparently the advantage of the Bonelle is that it's all made from bar stock. The quorn is made from various castings.
