Thank You Grahame Collins.
I would like to Thank Graham for all of his advice over time.
Recently, Graham has been attacked on these boards, by someone who to me, has obvious personal problems that may have contributed to his pursuit of Graham. This person has made 4 posts in total on the boards, and all four have been direct attacks on Graham.
Most members have left the posts alone, I guess with a similar attitude to myself; leaving the posts to die a natural death, and avoid bringing them to the top of the page to continue on.
This is fine with me, however, as stated above, I would like to thank Graham for his continued positive input in to these boards. I have lost count of the numbers of members that Graham has assisted over time. I am a tradesman as well.... in fact I hold two trades. This does not make me the "knower of all" though and I have learn t a lot from information gleaned from others on these boards.
It takes a good fellow (Graham) to continually give up the time necessary to support another fellow who he doesn't know, with information and suggestions, that have been of great value to many, including myself.
Thank you Graham, and I hope you have not suffered too much from the senselness of these recent posts.

And another. It takes time and effort to answer a post and to offer information freely is to be encouraged.
I enjoy reading Graham's posts so don't let one individual get in your way.Cheers,
Rod

RULES OF ENGAGEMENT
G'day all,
I would wish that I knew enough about welding to disagree with this forum's Moderator.
I don't, so I don't.
I would like to point out though, that disagreement with a post, or advice does not give anyone the right to denigrate another member.
The correct way to disagree with a post, is to say..."I disagree...for the following reasons"......and then leave it at that. This opens debate....not argument.
There is no reason to then continue denigrating the advice giver, or question his/her qualifications, for whatever reason.
Now I feel like somebody's Mum.
But feel free to disagree..debate points to death....but leave it at that level.

Thanks GC. you're a star. Yes we can all make the odd error but some make far fewer than others. Thanks for keeping us honest and sharing your experiences.

Dear Chaps,
I don't even visit the Metalwork Forum much, and yet Grahame has so much of that giving type of glow about him that I am still able to see it from all the way up where I usually hang out in Power Tools and Table Saws and stuff. He is one of the truest Selfless Champs in the whole place - always modest - and the Heaviest Hitter in his field. You can just tell from the way he writes that he is a gentleman, too - he never even hit back at the criticism in question. If there was a "Hats-Off" smiley, I would have ended this post with it, but this "Salute" one will have to do instead. To Grahame...
Best Wishes,
Batpig.
