Hercus Lathe old Southbend 9"
Hi I'm new to this! I saw a discussion here about metal turning and as one that does both wood & metal I was intrigued.
I hope some one can help me?
I have a 3 jaw self centring W&G 51/2" chuck (atleast 50 years old) I can get the jaws out OK they were very stiff, I think there's a bur on the scroll gear, how do you get the chuck apart I have taken all the screws out.
Should I use a puller?
Is there some secret to the assembly?
