Carbide Threading Tool - Great Value
Hi guys
Treated myself to a birthday present today - went out to H&F to buy a facemill arbor (new 100mm facemill) and thought I might as well treat myself to one of the H&F insert type threading kits. Got a nice little discount without asking and walked out happy with my $160 threading tool set (internal and external 16mm tools).
Got home and opened the box and low and behold there is a left and right hand external tool together with the internal. So 3 tools for $160 with 4 inserts.
The external tools are $75 each and the int is $99. Not hard to do the sums and even at full wack of $169 the kit is pretty amazing value.
Can't work out why mine has two ext tools and one int tool as the box says one int & one ext as does the H&F catalogue. However I am not complaining.
I am also not complaining about the new performance of the Sanvik 100mm face mill (7 insert style). Man that thing plucks some chips and leaves a beaut finish in mild steel.Cheers
