Bog Oak Knife
Hi
Not sure which section of the forum to put this, tried one section but was told about this section so here goes: I have made a knife yesterday, being a blacksmith aprentice, but used Bog Oak for the handle. Wow what amazing stuff, I will try to put a picture up if I can. I just couldn't believe how nice it polishes up with a little bees wax from my bees of course.
Sorry if they are blured!

Has anyone else used bog oak, if so what do you think of it?
Does anyone else make knives?
Cheers
Dave

I mostly haft premade knives; never tried bog-oak, mostly use leather or native australian woods.
You will probably get more specific mileage from one of the knife forums. I have found www.bladeforums.com to be good value.
