Default power feed for a HM-45

Didn't buy one for my mill, due to the high cost(I think), but am interested in getting one eventually. The options are, find a cheaper comercial version or try and make one myself.( I have machining and electrical skills)
I have seen a couple of articles on the net regarding homemade power feeds and it doesn't look that hard, but if I can buy one a lot cheaper than H&F's then I won't bother.I am not too keen on spending $650 on one, that's for sure.
Has anyone found a cheaper unit , than the H&F's power feed in Oz or overseas?
Managed to find one in the US (AL-99SP) which , I think is the one H&F sell, which is a bit cheaper, but I'm not sure it's worth the hassle getting it from the US .
Early days yet...so nothing is in concrete yet.

    Hi Sterob,
Sorry can't help with alternative power feed, but the HM-45 looks like its good value for money, have you been using it since you bought it ?
I've been looking at that model myself, can you tell me where it's made and are you happy with it? I was wondering whether putting power feed onto a 700mm table would be worth the while or pay the extra for the next model up with the longer table.
    Regards,
    Gary.

    Hi Gary,
I haven't even got it in my workshop yet....lol. I think it's Chinese made....There is a bit of discussion about this mill and the BM-50, which has most of the fruit on it. I went for the HM-45 becuase of the size...it is alot smaller, physically than the floor standing models. I have limited room in my workshop.
