Milling tool storage
Hello all
I am in the process of trying to organise my shed. I will be building something to hold NT40 tooling and my rotary table plus vice for the mill.
It will either be out of plywood, aluminum or metal at this stage. For the NT40 tooling I was thinking about a piece of ply with holes drilled in it. I have heard but with no evidence that plywood will cause a rust ring as it hold moisture from the air. I could oil the plywood. I don't know if aluminum causes dissimilar metal corrosion and metal would have to be painted.
I can see similar questions about what to sit the rotary table and vice on.
Am I over thinking this or what advice experience would the knowledge bank like to share.
Thanks
Steve

I made this rack to hold the NT40. The storage behind that is to store Vices and RT. Both are on casters so I could move them around, so far so good with the rust, I did spray CRC in them.

Hi Steve,
Yes they are painted. The trolley on the back is just MDF top.

Hi Jackaroo,
Those shelves look great!
I have but a fraction of your tooling so a similar rack in my shop would look sparsely populated!
