elongation when bending pipes
When designing sheet metal bends I just type in K value into the program and flatten the 3d model to get the final flat design. I imagine elongation also occurs when bending round pipes. I found very little written on the topic on the web or perhaps my search keywords are just not the right ones. Are you guys aware of any resource/book/article to help me gain more insight into calculating elongation for pipes?

Pipe bending varies quite a bit, depending on the pipe, being LIGHT WALL, MED, HEAVY, ETC., even the coating can vary the parameters slightly.
You can get close to within a few millimetres, but that could vary on the next piece of pipe. The position of the seam in the bender can alter the measurements too. DAMHIKT
