How to restore a lathe...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kVBwVwEVmHs
Masterful piece of work and absolutely classic paint job.
Makes RC's restoration of his 10EE (including choice of paint job) look like a total amateur hour hack.
Enjoy...

To think of all those weeks and months spent scraping and measuring when all I had to do was put on lipstick and get exploited by others.
She seems to have some good basic mechanical skills but it is obvious there are others doing the directing. I am just surprised they do not have her doing it in a bikini.
You come across quite a few of these youtube channels like this these days.Gold, the colour of choice for the discerning person.

There must be a new policy where the village workshops come equipped with pretty much up to date equipment.
Did you note the electronic welding shield and some of the other gear with ( close to being new) tools and equipment.
Not to mention the professional quality video editing. According to U tube it originates in HK - I am guessing the HK territories. There are are a heap of these u tubes by the same person.
Crikey I can't even afford the evapov-rust fluid ( or its copy) she is using.

Looks like she might be the trainer for repair section on any new lathe coming off the assembly backyard bench lathe we see arrive here. The painting skills are up tp scratch as normal. Will she on sell it for cost of her restoration work?

Looking at her other videos, I think she is a trained electric motor repairer Her skills in motor rewinding are no backyard hack.

nothing is too heavy for her...the armature, and shell/fan housing and cast iron fan of this 20kw gen would be flipping heavy as individual items...she just seems to upend the case with ease
at about into vid

All snark & BS aside, I'm impressed by what she gets done.
