Default Tool ID please - John Heine punch?

    Hi guys

I am after some advice on what this tool actually is. I guess a punch but I can’t find much info on it. It is John Heine brand and has “334A” on side. I can take more pics if it helps.

It looks like a simplified flypress type principle, but with a link instead of a screw.
Being small, it was probably meant for punching thin and/or weak material.

I would classify that as a toggle press (also referred to as a knuckle press). They have maximum force as the linkage approaches straight, so can be used for punching and embossing small items. They usually don't have as long a stroke as you would get on an arbor press or a fly press, so not so good for things that require a uniform force over a distance (like pushing bearings for example)
