    Default Storebro lathe

Hi, anyone got experience with one of these?
I might be able to get one of these soon when we get our workshop at work re-arranged. It's in perfect working condition apparently...

    Default Chuck

Does it have the L00 Chuck mount ? Make sure it comes with 3 and 4 jaw chucks and faceplate. Those L00 series mounts are not common these days and they are not cheap to buy.

It's a bit big to make a CNC set up on, isn't it
Nice find Erick, make sure that it gets a real good clean before you go to use it. Don't want all that dust wearing the components out.
When you said "get one of these soon", have they got several to get rid of??

You might find it very handy to have a Lathe at home Erick.
Looks ok, from what I can see. Suppose it depend on price, amongst other things.

If it's in good shape and has a reasonable amount of tooling I'd keep it and make it fit myself.

You might get $4000 for it - MIGHT.

You WON'T buy a new lathe of that quality for $4000.

L-0 or L-00 spindle mount. Yep a bit expensive compared to camlock but really how many chucks does a lathe need?

    I think I have 6 so far...

It's a nice looking machine though. If it won't fit in your shed, another member here might be glad to buy it in your stead.

    Well yeah but that's you....

I decline to state how many I have for my Chipmaster, but note that I did use the word 'need' not the word 'want'.

Update...i lost out on this lathe. I left the company and getting it was not an option any more.

I went to look at the lathes at Paramount Brown's. The one i looked at that would fit in my workshop is the FI-610.

As i am not an expert re lathes i would really appreciate advise on this one before i place an order...

The FI-610 is a rebadged CQ6128 apparently. https://cncwmt.com/product/cq6128/ Looks pretty good to me apart from the 26mm spindle bore but that may suit you. Comes with two chucks and two steadies by the looks of it. Next step up from that may be the TU3008G with a 38mm spindle bore. An extra grand and only one chuck supplied with it and no steadies. https://www.machineryhouse.com.au/l691
