Grinding a staggered tooth woodruff cutter.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6SX-rEzraMI&t=198s
Hello from the old bloke.
This took me a bit of time to nut out. The cutter is staggered tooth, angle tooth and vari pitch. All my maths on vectors is gone. My solution was to do it the old way. Luckily the cutter has even number of teeth so I could index off the opposite tooth. My workhead prooved to not be 100% at 90 deg and when I tilted it upwards there was a 1.5 thou error. Lucky I checked it with a DTI and fed it in a bit more.
Hope you like it.
