Help with part name.
I can't remember what they are called, but they are pretty much a disc with a type of tooth setup on the face, that only drive one way when two are combined. Pretty poor description but maybe enough for someone to know what I mean.

A ratchet drive? Or an overrunning clutch sort of thing? Dog clutches are positive drives that run both ways.

Google “ratchet slip clutch” and select images. I think that’s what you’re after.

One way ratchet is what I was thinking. Two discs mounted to a shaft with a spring to lock them together in one direction and when reversed it would ratchet freely.

So what I am looking for is pretty much the tooth design on this but instead it will be on the face of the discs rather than on the ID as it is here. I know they exist because I have seen them before but forget their name.Nev.

What diameter are you after, I'm sure I have a side type of teeth to suit around 40mm

Sprag clutch is probably closest to what I was thinking of, but still not what I am looking for. Will think of the name in the middle of the night maybe.

Nordlock Washers seem to be the closest thing yet. The idea was to attach one washer to a lever and the other to a shaft I wish to drive. Lever bolted into end of shaft with a little clearance so it can disengage when reversed. A spring would apply pressure to the lever with the washer fixed to it so it would engage in one direction. I am still sure there was something similar though.
