Default Kondia FV-1 Powerfeed manual wanted.

    Hello metalworkers

I have put down a deposit on a Kondia FV-1 variable speed powerfeed mill with slotting head. Its serial number is Q638.
It has electrical issues and is not running.

I am after a manual for one of these if anyone has one. PDF would be perfect.
I have three weeks to remove and am thinking I may have to separate this into smaller pieces to get it out of its current location.

    I have a 1500KG engine crane.

Photos will follow when it is home.

    Thanks

    Steve

Look up Lagun FV-1 or Pacific FV-1. Your Kondia probably came from the Spanish Lagun factory. This might help ... https://www.manualslib.com/manual/13...?page=1#manual

I used my modified 2 ton engine lift to R & R the swivel head on my Pacific FV-4 so your hoist should have no trouble lifting the top off the FV-1.DSCN0346.jpgDSCN0348.jpg

    Steve,
I have a Kondia FV-1 stepped belt set up with CNC, and the handbook.
My mill would be entirely different to yours above the spindle housing split-line but, I assume (?), otherwise the same.

Happy to answer any questions, supply copies of the manual, and chat by PMs, email or voice.

We need to get a FV-1 family group set up.

    Keep well,
    John.

    Thanks John

I would have actually preferred the stepped belt model as I love the look of the head and I need to run a VFD as I only have single phase. I am going to start disassembling it tomorrow and bring it home. Once I get it here I will most likely have some questions.

    Hi there,

I have a Pacific FT-2 (aka Lagun FT-2) and your Kondia looks similar.

Is the Kondia made in Spain too?

I think I have an electronic copy of my manual if that is of use.

    Default Kondia FV-1

Hi Guys, I'm the newbie here. I have an FV-1 which I have used steadily in my home workshop for over 20 years now. The power feed gearbox on the X axis is showing low oil. (Yes, it's taken 20 years to drip out! I know I should have changed it a couple of times by now, but hey....) Some of the reason that I have neglected it is; I have no manual to tell me which oil to use.
This is the 110V variable speed drive box, not the mechanical select type I see in the advertising blurb.
Can anyone help with; a, a manual for the "manual" mill, b, oil recommendation for the variable speed X axis power feed box, please?

    Thank you in anticipation.

    The manual is not very informative on this. It says as follows;

    Vertical Headstock and Feeds Box:
    Shell Carnea Oil 35,
Socony Gargoyle Vactra Oil and Heavy Oil.

    No quantities are given.

Default Kondia FV-1 Powerfeed manual wanted.

Carnea 35 is equivalent to Vitrea 68 or Mobil DTE heavy medium.
I’d be putting some ISO68 hydraulic oil in it if was mine.

Edit: or a ISO68 grade slideway oil if you’ve already got a drum of that.
The DSG lathe I’m working on at the moment takes Tonna 35 in all the feed boxes (68 grade slideway oil)
As far as I’m aware slideway oil is basically hydraulic oil with additives to keep it on vertical surfaces better.

Guy's I don't know how you went getting a manual, but I just spotted this Machine manual, operator manual, manuals, Deckel and Tos from Apex Machinery if you go down the list of the machine manuals that Apex Machinery have there is a manual listed for a Kondia FV-1 and I just came across a couple more places https://industrialmanuals.com/kondia-m-1191.php and here https://www.mcspt.com/shop/Kondia-Machine-Manuals.html . The industrial manuals offers the manuals in a PDF or a HARDCOPY. I hope it helps guys.
