Thread: Fair Price to Sell Old Macson Surface Grinder

Hi All. Am looking to sell my Macson Surface Grinder - in good working condition - uses 6" x 1/2" wheel. Magnetic vice in good nick. Driven by flat belt using 240volts. On a steel frame - paint work is orginal so reasonably old. Looking for what I might ask for it - was thinking about $500. The main thing that costs to replace on a SG is the mag chuck. I think I paid around that for mine (about a similar size), so I'd say that's a good price. I'd be tempted to buy it for a friend except for the small matter of a boarder...

Haven't sold it as yet - hadn't advertised it. Am going to do that this week asking for $500 and see how it goes.
