Elite AR5E T&C grinder
Looking for some photos of the indexable tooth rest for the Elite / Astra AR5E as per outline attached, I need to make one for my machine.
Any help appreciated. Thanks, Alan.

Hi Alan, Guys,
I used my chainsaw sharpener to touch up the teeth on several slitting saws that I have ! I made a support plate With a 1" inch diameter spigot to support the blade and used the saw grinders backstop in the teeth to index the blade as I went round each tooth.

You can see the plate clamped in the chain guide in these pictures. It is the flat steel plate with the aluminium spigot clamped to it. I used a spring clamp to hold the blade whilst sharpening. The index finger in the first picture is laid back and adjusted with the red knob on the right just behind. The red knob in the second picture adjusts the depth of cut into each tooth. Turning the blade around allows alternate teeth to be angled to suit. I chose 5 degrees for my blades.Best Regards:
Baron J.

Not sure this will add greatly to the stock of knowledgge, but from a few photos, I got this -
AR5.jpg
Sizes on the sketch are based on a dodgy assumption about the width of the slats on the skid, so could be off, but it's all about proportion
(extra?) pictures below.

Thank you to all for the input, RC not sure abrasive dust would be a good mix for some of the "grinding" undertakings viewable .
Thanks Michael for the mud map drawing most useful as a starting point, now to get to work. Alan.
