Thread cutting on a HAFCO AL960-B Lathe
Hi,
I am new to thread cutting and having done a few today fell short of the mark when it comes to appearance.
The threads work OK but look like the dog has chewed them. Very coarse / rough finish.
I was doing 3/4" Imperial- 14TPI on Tool steel bar
Chuck rotation speed 270RPM
I have watched videos and disappointed that I cant get my threads to look so smooth.
Any clues?
