Default Tap and die for Stanley handplane

    Hello all.
    First post in Metalworking.
I need to beg, borrow or buy a tap and die for a Stanley handplane.
My research says it is a 12-20. Used for the tote and front knob and the rods.
    Can anyone help me out?
    I'm near Newcastle NSW.
Thanks for and advice or help.

Might also try the woodwork forum if you haven't already, I'm pretty sure I've seen a few members in the past mention it https://www.woodworkforums.com/

    Thanks Grahame.
That is where I found the info but couldn't get the link to work or manually get to the Victor site. Your link works. I'll contact them.

I've searched the woodwork forum without much success.
Searching the internet came up with that lumberjack site.

Drill America #12-20 UNS High Speed Steel Plug Tap Pack of 1 | eBay

12-20 is not a common use tap so I feel you will be lucky if anyone can come up with one, the other option is to make them - I've made a few taps for odd gas jet threads - a lathe for the thread and a mill for the flutes - it isn't hard, I can't see that a die would be any harder

Last year I was doing up several hand planes and ran into the 9/32" issue in making a cap screw for a 78.

I looked everywhere for a die - no luck.
In the end I turned up the screw on my MW lathe.

Not my best effort but it works.

It's a shame it isn't a 24TPI thread, cos this tap from GBR Engineering in the UK is a bit cheaper

From what I can see it's a 7/32 x 20 Whitworth thread. Good luck finding it but Graham McDonald at Girraween carry a lot of odd sizes so maybe worth a try although I'd be looking at going the M6 route.
