Modifying a pair of Vise Grips into a Sash Clamp
Saw this on You Tube and thought it rather a nifty idea.

Have to give him credit for the idea (and using an angle grinder with a guard and handle) but I`d rather keep the vice grips as intended and use a clamp.

I think the idea behind it all, is that it can be used single handed, whereas a clamp usually requires 2 hands.

Whilst the idea might have merit. It has the most stupid title. Youtube is getting full of the stupid titled videos these days.

For the price of the vice grips and the other material you can buy an Irwin quick clamp

They probably don't have Irwin in Russia and just to pedantic it is not a sash cramp.

Nothing new here with this type of clamp, I have been using them for years.
This is a genuine Petersen Manufacturing Company "Vice Grip" 310S that I picked up somewhere. Petersen were the original designers of the "Locking Plier" and held the patent for many years.

Knew I’d seen this idea before.
Picked this up at a welding shop clearing sale.
Yet to use it, lives with the other clamps under the welding bench.
