Ding Dong Done
We all have projects sitting around waiting on shelves in boxes etc etc to be completed or even started. way back in 2013 I scored an old Ding Dong Hacksaw I got some top suggestions back then for re-handling it (thanks all). I have three other hacksaws so no real rush. I pickd up 3 new what are suppose to be HSS blades of various TPI so decided time to dig the old Dingo Dong out and have a play with it. The result being I finally got a Handel on my old Ding Dong. Finally found the time and right timber to make a laminated Handel for it. Tasmanian Oak with Jarrah centre strip. Had to machine a new Brass T-nut 1/4Whit thread internal. Decided to shape finger grips into it for a better feel as from what I gather the original was only smooth all round.
The main frame is steel and alloy cast remaining handle. I've fitted a new Toolpro HSS 12mmx32T blade from Supercheap.

Hi Wheelinround,
To me there is no better satisfaction than to be able to resurrect a once good tool and bring it back to being useful.
Will you use it or just keep it as a collector piece?
Bloody nice job, mate!
