    Default Dewalt drill bits

After many years of not having them I have decided to get some of these -

    https://www.amazon.com.au/DEWALT-DW1...3473305&sr=8-1

Only ordered imperial for now. Got these because they are pretty cheap, compared to eBay or other places.

A very odd increment in sizes. Some in 1/8", 1/16" and 1/64" and some sizes are duplicated.

They duplicate the smaller sizes on the assumption you'll snap one at some point

Can't imagine those larger sizes would be that easy to sharpen although I guess one could revert to a conventional grind.

This and couple of other issues ar noted in the reviews.

Pilot Point... Always wondered what they are called...
For a while one of the sets aldi sold had those, at least from 4mm up

    .
Think bunnies may have had something similar. Worked quite well.

I thought you just sharpened a step drill by grinding the flat face? same as a router bit.

Awhile ago I bought a set of DeWalt 29 piece Extreme 2 drill bit set, they are great when drilling pen blanks, they dont wander and follow the grain like normal bits.
Bunnings used to sell them, dont know if they still do.
