    Default Victorian Assistance 'Required'

Seeing as the Vics love us Crow Eaters so much I thought I might ask if any potential assistance is available cross border......

I am contemplating bidding on a few items in an auction. Collection would be from Norlane which I believe is around Geelong way. The items are all small (car or ute transport). Would any of the Vics likely be available to collect the bits for me (prob 29/1 or 1/2 but to be confirmed) then package them for my courier to collect? My cost on packaging materials and would be very willing to either pay for your time in beer or cash.

Might end up not bidding but I don't want to bid then find I cannot get the bits back to me. There are rarely any decent auctions in SA seeing as our manufacturing base dissolved years ago.....

Hello again. Well I missed out on everything at the Ford auction but I am before you all on bended knee once again. I purchased some bits from a recent Ballarat Grays auction with the intention of getting a courier to collect. Having just got a quote for well over $500 I might have to make a drive from Adelaide to Ballarat and back to collect. Not the end of the world but difficult to arrange.

Before I book time off from work, I don't suppose anybody lives near there who could grab the stuff for me? The problem I have is that they can only dump my few items on a pallet and it is shipping the large partly loaded pallet that is costing the money. If I could get the bits boxed up smaller I could save some courier cost. Again, name your price. They want the stuff out by Thursday so even if the items could be collected so that I could drive over Friday/Sat it would be a great help.

This is obviously my problem but if anybody can assist I would be eternally grateful.

EDIT: just got a picture and it weighs 100kg including pallet (pallet does not need to be collected)

Thanks for the kind words, and happy I could help.
I’ve previously had similar help with pickup and transport from forum members over your way - so it’s nice to be able to pay it forward.
