Gear train help
Hi, is there a service provided that can help me with gear train calculations. Due to extremely high cost I intend on changing my coil winding machine over to metric off the shelf gears. As I don't have the 18 change gears supplied from new which are imperial I was hoping for a setup as the lathe gearing uses to convert thread cutting to metric on old lathes giving me a train that is the same as the gear legend on the machine. Thankyou.

I thought imperial stock gears were fairly easy and cheap to get? what DP are your existing gears?

If you only need a few perhaps you could find someone who could 3d print thrm
A guy in UK has started printing gears for old Drummond lathes, apparently work very well.
I would expect coil winding would be less load.
