    Default Hand saw art

hello all. I paint scenes on hand saws as a hobby. I was curious if there is any material that would stick to the metal blade that would add texture to the paintings. I’d like to add an element to make them more ‘2d’ adding texture layers to mountain ranges etc. Other than possibly plaster is there anything else to consider? Thanks!

What about a high build automotive primer, or even just automotive filler?

A paintable adhesive sealant such as one of the Sikaflex ones would work, and should cope with flex a bit better than automotive filler.

Just don’t use any water based product as they tend to rust when used on bare steel (just my observation from the odd tool that has ended up with some on it).

I've heard of model railway enthusiasts using hotmelt glue to build up surfaces.
