I'm after the motor hp and rpm and pulley size. If anyone can help with a copy of manual would be most grateful am willing to pay for it.
also if some one has the same machine would love a photo of front with clear impressions so can make up new face plate.

G'day Joe
It looks like you have your work cut out for you there, but if nothing else you have your first project.
From the limited reserch have done, that lathe is 36" between centres and 12" swing. That makes it very similar to a AL-960B. From the Machinery warehouse site, those lathes are a 2HP / 1.5kW motor. Lathe speed range is 35 to 1350 rpm, so I would guess a 1440rpm (4 pole) motor.
You may have to work out your pulley sizes the hard way, and look at the ratios to determine what the input pulley size should be.
Hope someone else can assist with more detail.

Worth adding too. You look to be missing the switch gear that turns things on and off. Depending on your confidence with electrickery, you may be better getting a 3 phase motor and VFD - the advantage of that is that the motor gains a variable speed function. Some find it handy. (Although lathe speeds are something that depend on lots of other things, so it is not imperative.

Hi Joe,I have a Herless II Buk Belt drive , and a manual to suit , does not tell you much, but a brochure
I got when I first bought the lathe ,frontal picture may be the lathe that you have , during that period the lathe's look all the same. and there is no lathe showing the number of the lathe that you have, it does say ssb-16DA,
not ssb-16BA the lathe you have got , looking at these they all look the same the difference is mostly the switch gear for the geared head . I will post to you the brochure and the manual if it will help.
