A wotcha call it is being sought
Gentlemen,
I know it has a bloody name but I cannot for the life of me ,think of it, at this moment.
I would describe it as a hollow flexible, adjustable spiral wound, metal cable employed in supporting a microphone or desk lamp light bulb.
Yes I googled for it and found every thing else but There will a key word but I have not stumbled on it yet.
I require it to support a LED adjacent to my MultiTool linisher, mounted with the platen vertically at the moment.
You cant free hand grind too well and not do without the concentrated light when grinding up close and personal. The same arm/tube,I want to push aside when getting hot and heavy with other work.
In the past I have purchased a lamp from Big W solely to obtain the flexible coil arm but the length needed for this project exceeds the length available with the woolies lamp. If you can put a name to it that will be wonderful.
Your assistance is appreciated.
Thanks
Grahame

I have one of those goosenecks with a light on it sitting around collecting dust if you want it Grahame. Was mounted on my mill by the previous owner, I took it off before it fell off into a cutter.

If you can't wait for mail order delivery, there is probably a Jaycar up there somewhere?

Hi Gents,
I had originally tried various googled combinations of flexible shaft, spiral wound cable and spiral metal wound shaft.
The Jaycar item came up the very first time I Googled in "gooseneck. It was that key word.
After a phone call to the local Jaycar it transpired that they did not have one in stock. God knows how long an order might take, but given the current supply situation who knows?
The plan for the moment is to wait until xmas is done and dusted and allow the mail /delivery system to return back to its normal speed.
PS XJ90X the mag base one looks interesting.
Thank you All
Grahame
