Not sure whether this should be in automotive, but anyway...
I'm refurbishing a good ol' Honda G200 motor. 197cc sidevalve. It's remarkable how this donk has survived about 38 years out in the open powering a firefighting water pump. But it's finally said "No! Enough!"
Stripdown shows all is good except for the exhaust valve seat which is pitted - not pretty! not a lot of compression -if any. I need to get a valve seat cutter, - beg borrow, steal, or find someone local who will do it for me. (It's only a few minutes work). The ancient Seneca Falls has done a surprisingly decent job of lightly refacing the valve (seat/land) itself.
Or I wonder if there's some clever 'Metalworker-around'? The valve stem is a little over 6.5mm (for pilot) and the valve head is about 25mm I think it's S/S.
I'm at Greendale, - anywhere between Melton and Ballarat could be a goer.
