Default Back in the belly of the borer

    SAM_0718.jpgSAM_0718.jpgSAM_0719.jpgHi to all.
Finally back on the borer repair.
I can see why assembly with out the factory tools is so hard. The first 2 pics are of the thrust bearing seat on the shaft. The fit is so tight the inner race left juddering marks as it was pulled off. No edges broken or lead in used. A few chamfers applied and a good polish of the journals before we try again. The outer races are also a super tight fit in the gearbox. Did get one with the tollerances all one way?
Next week we try a refit
