    Thank you Dave, at present I am just roughing with cuts varying between.5 to 2.5 or slightly more with the 80 face mill,I have noticed after about 40 passes over 105 mm width at the above depths of cut I need to rotate the tips.

    I am able to achieve no significant/ noticeable step after rotating the tips, main question was in regards to anyone using a 100 mm face mill of the KM12 style..

    Was just curious, to see what others may of achieved or noticed, I have noticed that as the tips wear the residual heat in the job increases, ( new tips virtually produce no noticeable retained heat no matter the depth of cut).

    Most if not all finish passes will be taken at .5mm or less.
