If both 110 volt solenoids are intended to be activated at the same time, wire the coils in series for 220/240 volts.

That's a bit more than I imagined. Left energised, they're going to build up quite a bit of heat, but in this application I guess they're not going to be left on terribly long. And they're attached to chunks of aluminium which would act as heatsinking.

I'm assuming they are rated to run continuously, but will keep an eye on them.

Thanks John - great idea and I hadn't thought about doing that.
Unfortunately it turns out I need 3 solenoids turned on.
As well as #12 and #14 I also need #5

Its all very temporary connected "proof of concept" for now - but its working!!

Hi Steve, Have you got a spare one ! It could be used to solve the voltage issue. Two in series in parallel.
