Default Ultrasonic cleaner for cutting tools

    SAM_0705.jpgHello from old BC.
This is a cheap ultrasonic cleaner, $35.00 from Aldi. I use hot water and dish drops to clean the cutters before I inspect and regrind them. It takes 3 mins for each load and just needs a wipe out with paper towels prior to putting it away. No need for solvent.
    Regards

It will be interesting to see how long it lasts as I don't think those jewellery units are designed for long term use on such heavy objects.
Anyway just make sure it does not run out of water as that will kill it pretty quickly.

We regularly used US cleaners at work for various cleaning and rock/dust sample digestion/liquefaction.
To get really baked/burnt on gunk off, we used dichoromethane or liquid paint stripper, we used this stuff at work on vacuum pump parts where the oil had baked on dark brown black it took a while but it did work.

SWMBO is into various forms of jewellery making and a few years back I bought her a 3L US cleaner with a heater bath for her Bday. She has hardly sued it but I have used it lots. I my shed all the parts I "blue" are precleaned with a US cleaner, dirty Carby parts clean up real fast too.
