I just threw this to my wife who is an occupational therapist (OT) and now works for dept of health, has some knowledge of NDIS etc. She recommends that you ask the NDIS people to approve an occupational therapist assessment. NDIS won't approve anything without professional assessment first. Then get an OT to assess your needs. There are OTs who specialize in driving modifications and NDIS should be able to refer you to someone appropriate. The OT then makes the assessment and can then recommend exactly what you need and make a report to NDIS. NDIS will then determine if they are going to fund it. No way they will fund or approve something that you come up with in person- hence the blank looks you have got. If you go through the appropriate channels you should have access to all the right people and gear. If you decide to DIY you are on your own; also I think you would face real problems with insurance if anything happens down the track, so to speak.

Thanks Pete,
That makes sense. I will look into it.
Had a couple of replies today.
One of Droogs links is a no go. PE Racing? Their Modules need their own ECU in order to calibrate it.
Found out the mob who assist elderly people don't do vehicle mods in their Bunbury office....doh. I thought the Mens Shed being right next door was a give away....lol

Some more info, but not much progress.....
The NDIS approved company that does pedal conversions 'can't help me' after they inspected my car. No reason given, even when asked.
He did say my conversion was illegal ( which is ISN'T) as it was done in 2010. The new rules say the car must have BOTH pedals fitted these days, so if I change it, it must comply.
I request from NDIS for them to recomend a supplied has gone unanswered so far.
A different supplier in Perth was going to get me a quote, but nothing......
A English company who make a installation for a later Audi model WON'T sell it to me as it has to be installed by licenced....blah, blah, blah.....
I found out my car uses a 'Pedal Box' that all the pedals are mounted to. The newer models have a different part number but the part looks identical to mine.
Anyway, I bought a S/H one, with brake pedal and I'm going to seeif I can fabricate something myself and get it inspected. Not arrived yet.
All good fun, isn't it......

Thanks for the update, Steve.
Hope you get a satisfactory result. The Government certainly don't like to make life easy!!!!

The pedal box arrived last week.
I screwed it down to a MDF off cut so I stays put while I ponder...
Have gone through several ideas in my head, but nothing has lept out at me as being 'the way to go'.
Its just ridiculous how hard its going to be. Very little room and very odd shapes to adapt to AND go around.
Lots of fabrication work as well. Not sure I'm up to it. Don't have the time.
Will keep going for now....Shouldn't cost too much to buy the parts I need to get an idea if its going to work, or not.
Buying some 12mm steel rod, 12mm universal joint, 2x clevis's and 2x 12mm rod ends.
Will have to 'dog leg' over the brake pedal as it is not legal to go under. Must not be any chance the brake pedal arm will come in contact.
I'll post some links to pics when I have something.

Is it possible to utilise a bowden cable to get from one to the other? Might be a bit easier to thread the eye of the needle with one, perhaps with a linkage at the factory pedal to reverse direction so you don't have to S-bend the cable?
