Cincinnati Monoset
I am very new to T&C Grinders and have little knowledge about them.
Is the Cincinnati Monoset considered a T&C Grinder or is it a different beast? Does it do the same things, more, less? Harder, easier to use?
Seems to have alot of adjustment to it which I would think makes it versatile but hard to use.
Thoughts and inputs?

My understanding is that the Monoset is a step above most tool and cutter grinders, being that it is dedicated to that purpose rather than being a more universal machine like a Cincinnati #2.
Stefan Gotteswinter recently got himself a Deckel S1, and explains that for being his reasoning (quicker setup times due to that) in the first couple of minutes of this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pXYHHcwhWrQ
He also shows how most of the bits on his machine work, although looking at a Monoset it appears to have even more flexibility.
If you specifically want a tool and cutter grinder, and you've got a line on a complete one with ALL the bits at the right price, then it would seem that the Monoset could be a good choice. I have read that the collets are a bit of an odd duck though, may require scouring the US or modifying something to get them?

I’ve no personal experience with them but they are able to cut helical flutes from scratch is one of the things that makes them different.
When I looked into them a while back the general vibe online was that they are complex to set up and nobody really uses them now as there are easier machines for manual grinding and making tools from scratch has been replaced by CNC machines.

Might as well add this here rather than create a new thread..........
Is this what people refer to as a Cincinnatti #2 T&C Grinder? https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/cool...der/1250349890
