    A little harder for you to get in Australia but have you given thought to a football helmet the Americans play with? The face guard could be modified with a holder and the helmet skeletonized to lighten it. Possibly some other sports helmet like a hockey helmet could be used instead.

    Thanks Pete,
    A gridiron helmet was the first thing I thought of when this project came up. They are quite expensive here and the client was insistent that the solution be as light as possible, so I ruled it out. I'll keep it in mind though, because I believe she will get government funding for this.
