Thread: Cutting the Quick Way

Have a look at these Diablo blades escpecially the circular saw at normal speed. Ignore the presenter.

I have one of those Diablo reciprocating saw blades (and the same Makita reciprocating saw) and it is indeed a very useful blade. It cut the 12" hole though the mens shed wall (3 layers of Colorbond - like butter. Noisy but good. The reciprocating saw gets more use in the garden than the shed.

I also have an equivalent of the Diablo angle grinder blade (mine is a Lennox) and have used it in my metal cutting mini table saw in which I normally use the thinnest abrasive blades. It does make less dust and sparks but it has a slightly wider kerf than the abrasive blades. I did some COMPrative tests of this blade in 2017 see https://metalworkforums.com/f65/t201...ks#post1927317. The abrasive disc also leaves a cleaner cut.

For small pieces of stock I generally prefer fixing the blade in place and moving the stock using a mitre slide etc.

As for the circular - I d get one if I could get "teeth muffs"

They look good, but as you said very noisy ! Good for site work though.
