    Ad on Gumtree for FREE FREE FREE Broken Executive Office Chair.
    With pics and explanation of the break.
    And not wanting to pay $28.50 to add to landfill.

    8 responses. Gone within 2 hours.
    Said he had another chair with a break and was hoping to parts them together.

    They may charge you money to dispose of them, but they don't go into landfill ! At least here they don't. They end up being recycled as scrap iron.

    Love to find one of those seats, I know I can buy new, but it doesn't have the same character.

    This one was a reject from the foundry I use to work at 30 years ago. I rediscovered it a couple of weeks ago cleaning the back shed.

    They were made for a company that made bar stools and seats for boat builders.

    The old milk crate is more comfortable.
